Sang-A Frontec signed a supply contract with Ahlstrom-Munksjö to provide an ePTFE membrane.

Sang-A Frontec, one of Mold union member companies, a professional company of cutting-edge technology of parts and materials, announced that Sang-A frontec signed the ePTFE membrane's supply contract with Ahlstrom-Munksjö 3 days ago.

The supply contract's business details are filter media for dust collector and gas turbine, Hepa filter media for air conditioner, Hepa filter media for home (air purifier, vacuum cleaner), and filter media for high temperature (coal-fired power plant and incineration plant).

Due to the environmental regulation, the cartridge type of dust collector filter media market size will be increased from 2016 - 24,500 tons to 2021 - 33,000 tons. In the meantime, the ePTFE membrane filter media, which Sang-A Frontec will supply, is forecasted from 2016 3% of market size to 2021 6% of increased market size. Simultaneously, Ahlstrom-Munksjö Korea's sales forecast expected at about 15% market size, from 71 tons to 297 tons.

The ePTFE membrane that Sang-A Frontec developed is recognized as its heat resistance and chemical resistance at the filtration market, which required filtering specific substances with high efficiency. Recently, it is being applied mainly to newly growing businesses.

Currently, Sang-A Frontec uses ePTFE membranes for mass production of vent products for headlights and motors, and test production of IT and fiber industries. Due to this supply contract, it is expected that the investment performance will accelerate in earnest by stimulating the growth of the ePTFE membrane's growth.

In the meantime, Sang-a-Frontec has steadily invested in new R&D, completed the expansion of an ePTFE production plant and investment in production facilities at the head office for the ePTFE membrane business, and has been carrying out various governmental government projects such as the World Class 300.

Sang-A Fronctec announced that their competitiveness would be more reliable because they expanded their growth engine with ePTFE membrane business, with molding, secondary battery, display, medical devices divisions business growth.
